Hi Juleysi! The CT Guard Card Class for the Security Officer License in CT is a one day 8 hour class. If it's the one day class here's how it works: If you want to become a security officer in Connecticut you need a license. In order to get that license you have to take an 8-hour training course for certification. Cost of the class is $100 for tuition (Also bring $25 cash to class for fingerprints) and the licensing process costs $188.25 for the which includes background checks and the license itself, when you go to the State Police in Middletown Connecticut to apply for your license which will be good for five years and you could begin working in Connecticut as soon as you have applied for your license. Here is all the info you need to register and pay online. Schedule is posted. The website is WWW.LJBSECURITYTRAINING.COM. You simply hit the "upcoming courses" tab at the top of the page, search the schedule, pick the day and class you wish. Call me with any questions 203-907-6594.
For Ct. Guard card, you only take the 8 hour class. Once you take the class and pass the multiple choice test, you will get the certificate. You then take that with all the other listed documents and send to State Police. They will send you your card on mail. LJB goes over everything and gives you the information you need to submit it. They even have the fingerprint guy there to take your prints for $25 bucks. Take the course at LJB. Plus he offers all other classes to move further with your security job, like Blue card, Bls/cpr and more. There are a few cheaper classes around but this is one stop shopping! Ill be goong back soon fir my bluecard. Good luck.
