Ritz Carlton Vail is 100% NOT ski in ski out despite what others have said. RC Bachelor Gulch @ Beaver creek is ski in and out. Marriott is next door to RC in vail.

Ritz Carlston is ski in/ ski out. Vail Marriott is a short walk to lifts, but does have ski valet service to shuttle skis to & from the lift area at Lionshead.
The Marriott is definitely not ski-in ski-out, it's a few min walk, you don't have to carry your gear they have a caddy service
Marriott is a bit closer, but they are basically next to each other.
Dump is strong ; ) good value
Ritz Carlton is not only legitimate ski in ski out but you can people watch skiers while drinking and ski right up to the lift on a fun green. And the Marriott is a dump, relatively speaking.
