These comments area somewhat confusing. I would not swim there. Very rocky bottom and have encountered many snakes during fishing there many times. Was furnished several years ago and then demolished by hoodlums. Was very nice back then.
I dunno about metal detection. I do know that it's a good place to meet nice people before sunset.
There arent many places you cant metal detect, unless its on a govt property.
