Dan, go directly to the state office in willimantic if that's the area that you're living in. They can get you signed up for all that stuff right there that day and you will hear pretty quickly back
You can get help just go to your local foodstamp place or to the hospital and explain to them exactly how you said. They will send you to sign a couple papers and it would take about a month to get health insurance
