Yes you can. There is even a walking path from Magic Kingdom to The Contemporary Resort. We find it can be quicker to walk instead of monorail or bus.

Assuming you have an annual pass, or the park hopper option, yes. If not, you'll need to see them at the exit so you can get back in. Walking to the contemporary hotel is faster unless there's no line at the monorail, since that hotel is the first stop after the Magic Kingdom.
