Grouper in Florida is excellent. I would def get it when it is on the menu. As far as the 386 menu almost nothing will disappoint you anyway. Trust the waitstaff recommendation for what's fresh on Friday or Saturday nights. They are usually spot on. All fish dishes are excellent. The only dish I wasn't extactic with was lamb.
386 has a fresh local fish pretty much every day but it generally changes every day based on what the local fishermen have to offer. I would recommend calling and asking what the local fish of the day will be earlier in the day, Frank is the Owner, so I would ask for him. If the have grouper, I would recommend asking if you can reserve however many portions you want for your table, because when they are out, they are out. RECOMMENDATION, sometimes they offer the fish with special toppings (which are always good) but I would ask for it on the side so you can enjoy "just the fish" if you haven't had it before, and add toppings if you like. If 386 doesn't have grouper, check Flagler Fish Market and Restuarant, it's also local and fresh and usually have grouper available.
