It is a sanctuary for big cats that needed a home, and they are open only on certain days each week. Check the website for the most updated information, but generally they are open on Thursday afternoons and Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday evenings. Afternoon visits include a guided walking tour and costs $10 for anyone 12 and older, $5 for kids 3-11 (2 and younger are free). Evening visits include the guided tour followed by the opportunity to watch the animals eat dinner, mostly chicken, and all processed like you see in the store. Cost for the feeding is $15 for anyone 12 and up, $10 for kids 3-11, and free for 2 and younger. Animals are more active at feeding time so that tends to be more popular. Check out the website and their Facebook page for more information, but definitely worth visiting.
I would say the review by Kurt was spot on. Feels more intimate than a zoo. But also not as flashy. The staff was great to talk to.
Go for feeding time. It's interesting!
There are lots of big cats and you can walk around and see them. Like a small zoo except you are probably a little closer to the animals.
Great place to take the kids or if you are looking for something different to do and if you like tigers.
