What about elderly and disabled people on a limited income?
You can order a cat toothbrush from Japan
Hydrogen peroxide on a cotton ball or q tip works for my cats.
You can try valuepets
That sounds about right as the going rate for "dentals" in our area. Gingivitis often requires much more care than a simple cleaning, such as multiple extractions. That is what drives the cost up. You can brush cats (and dogs) teeth, like people. If you use hydrogen peroxide make sure it's diluted (at least 50% water). For seniors and disabled: Visit www.VetCareEverywhere.org for more details on requirements of our program, and also our fee structure. Please feel free to share our information with anyone that you feel meets our requirements. We also have a toll free hotline to call if that's easier for your clients (800-533-1898)
PRVC — POUND RIDGE VETERINARY CLINIC — will do the works for less than half this price.
