Don’t move. Make your pet your priority.

Agreed. I would sleep in my car before giving up my pup

Sadly that's the #1 reason animals are surrendered to shelters. Paws takes in cats as often as space permits for members of our local community. You can visit our website at www.pawsct.org and under Resources you will find a form to request intake of your cat at Paws as well as a list of other local shelters and rescue groups.

Depends on what town you live in. Search google for animal shelters and rescues nearest to you. Call them before you head in to make sure they have space. Most of us are overwhelmed with kittens and so many people looking to be rid of their cats. If you are in the Norwalk, Stamford, Bridgeport area Paws could put your cat on our waiting list if you fill out the intake request form www.pawsct.org/cat-intake

You can take it to a foster home that also works with paws and when your done moving, you can get your pet back. Or just send it to paws and it will hold it for you until your done
