What does one need to register a car purchased from MA? Can one just go without making an appointment to the Woonsocket DMV ? It will be a transfer of plates already registered.

You need the title you also will need to fill out a form that says that you paid out of state sales tax or else you will made be made to pay Rhode Island state taxes well also you will need your title and you will need whatever it cost for your specific car and I think they take check. He will also need to do a VIN check which can be done at the police station in Woonsocket it's right across the street sort of anyway and you can walk in getting line and usually will be in line for a good hour to 3 hours so you'll have plenty of time to drive down to get your VIN check
