Is there a way to fight being discriminated against being homeless?? I am not a drug abuser and me and my husband are in a bad situation. We bathe regularly but we are in the street and it hurts when we are discriminated against for being homeless.

Come to the CAG meetings on every Tues at 5pm on the fourth floor. Its an support group for homeless issues by coalition staff and volunteers who are in similar situations. There are people there of all races. Theres food and drink as well

ALL of Agencys of NYC,DISCRIMINATE and the employees DON'T Consider others because Your ethnicity!!!! if you aren't afro-american like them(65% of the employees are)... they DON'T help you

So true. it's so unfair but the worse shape your in the more detrimental your considered. 1 . if you stay on the street instead of a safe haven you are considered not housed so you get an apt faster. If you get a dog or a cat you get almost immediate placment since safe Haven's and shelters don't allow pets. if you of and almost die or get a deadly abscess and spend a week in the hospital from a dirty needle gets new apt in amazing building Houston and pitt
