It's a small park that use to be a fort during the civil war, I go there for other things but honestly you could see the whole place in 20 to 30 minutes

The fort is very well preserved and interpreted via signs. The museum is small but has excellent items from the taking of the flag at the Alexandria hotel, and a fine collection of Roger's Civil War plaster sculptings. The park itself is a lush and wonderful place to be with family, pets,, etc. A real gem.
