It's never normal when dogs have seizures. Go get him checked out ASAP! That places is awesome! It could be something as minor as an allergic reaction to the diet/food you're feeding him.
My shih tzu had the same issue, but his isn't A seizure. He was checked and was having muscle spasms. But if I were you I would take him to be checked
This is a great first aid station but University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine at 3800 Spruce Street is the most appropriate place for treatment of anything significant. Seizures are very significant to me and I would be very alarmed to have my dog having one. In summary, this is a great pet friendly medical emergency facility but it is world renowned like Penn. I might go here first then schedule a visit to Penn.
I have been here since 630, yes they are amazing! My baby is not doing good tho, between the neurologist and internal Dr we are now running more test to see what's wrong with him. But she said "quality of life" more than once, I have been in tears since and it all sounds like wah wah wah now I'm so sad. Thank you for responding to the question
Praying for a speedy recovery. Univ of penna for 2nd opinion if necessary
Definitely take your dog to the vet ASAP. Seizures are never normal but are a sign of an underlying medical issue. If your human child were having a seizure, I'm sure you would rush the child to the ER or your doctor. Treat your furbaby the same as your child.
