There's a reason they charge crazy fees online. The wait to purchase tickets is nuts! How long does it take to purchase tickets?!? I waited because this is a deal that couldn't be beat!

Went to see The Nutcracker Suite. My first ballet π©°β€οΈπΆ. Loved it π. Also saw the musicals Hair and Fiddler on the Roof years back at that theater π

We arrived about an early and got in pretty speedy. We were seated about 15 minutes after we arrived.
I just have to ask, where you under the assumption that all shows were the same length or that the academy only ran one show over and over again or did you people that Google the day and time of your show to figure it out? Or am I just missing something?
You must have a valid vaccine card and ID to enter as well as a face mask on at all times
It's best to contact the Academy for the most direct answer.

Give your self 3 hours @ least. By the way, great show!
If you buy your parking pass with your ticket, the garage is a block behind the Academy of Music on 15th between Locust and Spruce. If you do it when you get there, the closest parking is on Locust between 13th and Broad St.
Yes
I would recommend taking the train or an Uber/taxi. It can be alot cheaper with a lot less hassle
I do not know anyting about tickets but I could come and give you an autograph as a descendant of the man who painted the ceiling there. Our family found out about this a few years ago and got a private tour of the whole place. It's a wonderful place and the Usher who gave us the tour came in on his day off. That was so kind of him and it was so kind of the management to do that for us.
There's a few garages nearby. I suggest you plan ahead and maybe reserve one on SpotHero or some other app like that. We showed up 30 minutes before a show and we just found a random garage a block or two away
Yes
Check the Kimmel Center website kimmelcenter.org
Call the theater and you will get the most up to date information
Depends on what you chose, print at home or held at office, if you didn't get the printing option most probably you will have to arrive before to get the tickets.
I'll give you my number. The best way of donating tickets is usually to just call me directly then I'll pick them up personally and then the next step is I use them personally cause live theater can be expensive on the avenue of the arts and I'm broke. Lol.
No issue . π Been there many times . Just mention to the person at the counter how many tickets you've ordered and under whose name the tickets were ordered . I've done that many times with no issues . Enjoy your show !

Too tight for comfort, I would leave a bit early. X
There is no lost an found number but there is a lost an found anything found in the theater is turned into security you would have to go back to the Academy of music an talk to security....
Yes on the side door I believe. There is an elevator to the balcony level and wheelchair spots
Peggy, it is on the bottom or first floor. It goes Parquet, then Parquet box, then Parquet circle. If I'm not mistaken, box and circle tickets are elevated above the Parquet. I hope that helps you.
Yes. But as others said, it will he searched
Cinderella story never ends..π
There is a handicap entrance on the left side of the building (as you are facing the front) with wheelchair access) Parking is on the street there. Get there a little early for best parking
Too long
2 hours and 30 minutes w an intermission accrdng to website.
Not technically. But I wouldn't ever wear shorts or jean's with rips or tears...or even a t-shirt.
I don't think there is an official "Dress Code" but like Hyung Park said, I wouldn't wear gym shorts. I would say business casual or better.
Look at the end of the program description on Kimmel website or call the box office.
Go thru Academy of Music or there's public parking close by.
Yes, there are VERY high priced snacks. I agree with previous responder: keep hat close to head in courtesy to those behind you.
I agree, floor seats are best for accessibility. Some of the balcony seating is blocked by columns
I think it was more than that... maybe 30 min?
Casual works. Looked as though people were dressed however they wanted to be.
Fado is a great one! Del Frisko's looks awesome. Cheesecake Factory. McGillan's has great food & and is neat to explore for its history. Max Brenner's for dessert. So many more too!
Yes
Snow is cleared and show is loading in
Runtime:Β 2 hours and 30 minutesΒ with an intermission.
Most shows an hour before. But depends. They do have beverage and snacks too.
Yes, just go to their website and you can set one up.
Okay the doors open about an hour before the performance, and that's for people who wants to pick up tickets at will-call, or they want to buy tickets or change tickets. It is always a good idea to show up like 10 minutes before the performance starts so that you can get your program and be shown to your seat without inconveniencing the other people in the row. Also if you come after the curtain Falls then you are not permitted to enter. One time I came halfway through the first performance and had to go up to the nosebleed section. I was able to go to my correct seat at the first intermission.
Don't know.suggest looking online. Sorry
15th Street. You can then either transfer to the Broad Street Line (for free) and ride one stop southbound to Walnut Street, or just walk. It's not too bad of a walk.
I agree that it's a great idea to plan on a pre-theater dinner, then you'll have time for an unhurried stroll to the theater. My favorite place is Valanni, at 1229 Spruce St., just about 3 blocks from the Academy of Music. The food is Mediterranean/Latin and you can make a nice meal by sharing several appetizers. They also have a special 3-course pre-theater dinner.
