I just called unemployment at 16 seconds after 8 am and couldn't get through. This is a terrible system. Hell all of this talk essential workers. Why isn't unemployment open and why aren't they considered essentia lworkers

They answer on Saturday and Sunday or first thing monday morning

You can go down to the Unemployment Office (One Stop) Center in Newark. They are not allowing people inside, but I believe there are still workers there. A couple months ago, I went down because I was having the same issue. The guard came out front and gave me instructions for claiming. Good luck!
