None of these offices in Newark answer there phones and when the wic office at Beth Israel did they never reached back out to me I've been in Newark foe a whole month now and they still haven't reached back out my son is on lactaid milk and needs milk they asked for my information and that was it ..I call everyday no one answers thus is the only city that's doing this never had any issues with all the other cities I've moved fo

This is the worst wic office in New Jersey! They never pick up the phone at all no matter what time of the day you’re calling & whenever you go in person the receptionist is extremely rude.

I have been calling for days to try to get a phone number for the Beth Israel location‼️ NO ONE EVER ANSWERS THE PHONE NO MATTER WHAT DAY OR TIME‼️ You have to leave a message and HOPE someone calls you back‼️ It’s RIDICULOUS that they don’t have an operate/receptionist answering phones either from the office or from home‼️ A pandemic is NO reason NOT to at least have a work from home position to be able to help with phone communications‼️ I can’t seem to find a working number for the Beth Isreal location at all‼️

I got to know about WIC after I gave birth. I must say the breastfeeding program is very helpful. I’ve had the opportunity to meet with Ms. Sharon, the Lactation consultant as I was struggling with breastfeeding and she’s been super helpful and supportive. I’m a new mum and didn’t know how to have my baby latch on the breast. It was a bit difficult for me and I later thought of having my baby on Formula instead but thanks to Ms. Sharon who gave me important tips about breastfeeding and showed me the various ways I could use to breastfeed. She also gave me some materials I could read and it’s been very helpful. She will call to check up on how the breastfeeding is going and will ask if I have any questions. She’s very knowledgeable about breastfeeding. The breastfeeding program gave me breast pump, nursing bra and other items that a nursing mother might need. I feel very comfortable breastfeeding now. I will definitely recommend this program to every nursing mother.
