I don't know Debbie Shifflett but her experience here is FAR different than my 3 years. I pay attention to the security staff and I will say it has greatly improved over the last 6 months while other things have gotten worse. And I can knock what I've experienced in my 3 years. Your opinion is not that of every resident, I PROMISE!
They will enter your apartment without covering shoes, any time before now and then "Covit19" You don't have to be home. They will have multiple entry during the year, including women with dog looking for bedbugs in your bed! They call it "Mandatory" inspections. This is not independent living. Read before signing any documents.
I don't know Sara Massie, but I can tell you it's not nasty or old. There's someone here 24 hours a days. The doors are locked after 4:30pm and on the weekends. Only the residents can get in using a key fob. I feel very safe here. So don't knock it till you tried it. There is a waiting list, but I didn't have to wait long, a couple of months. The rent is 768 a month for a one bedroom and all utilities are included, except cable, internet, and landlines, as well as antenna TV. It's very nice here. The apartment is spacious and it does comes unfurnished . There is bug service once a month.
The "market" rents are lower than most comparable apartments in the area. There are a few Section 8 apartments that are very low cost. Water and electric included, and there's a roof antenna for television.
