I didn't visit, I live here now. I am a stone's throw away from the beach, which makes this place worthwhile. A lot of the residents are friendly, yet those who don't want to be involved aren't. The staff is small, but generally pleasant. Must be 62 to move in but at least we are all in the same age range of baby boomers for the most part, which makes communication easier. If you are over 62 and need a new place to live, come check it out.

Enjoyed meeting the receptionist and hearing her clear instructions and offers of help.

I am looking for a place for my mother and drove by this location with the Now Leasing sign on the gate. Before I got out of my car I was informed that there is no guest parking and I needed to move my car to the unpaved lot next door. As I pulled into this lot I was directed to there were about 8 people sitting there staring at me, which made me question my choice, so I decided to just leave. I came home and decided to read the reviews of this location and after doing so, I went back the following week for another try. I pulled into this questionable parking lot where again there were several people sitting and staring at me but this time I got out of my car and went into the building. I went up to the only window I saw and there was a person sitting behind the glass so I assumed I was at the correct place for information. I stood there unacknowledged for about 3 minutes when the young lady looked up at me. I explained that I was interested in information for my mother and I was quickly told there is nothing available but I was welcome to leave my name for the waiting list. I was already offended at this point so I just said no thank you without asking why there is a now leasing sign if there is a waiting list. I am happy for the folks who have left rave reviews for this location, however my experience was anything but. Right from the uneasy feeling parking and walking thru what felt like a judgment brigade to being ignored by the young lady sitting at the desk. Definitely will continue my search elsewhere.

Gina Mora and her staff at Westminster Canterbury are awesome. They work tirelessly to take care of all issues we have here and remain friendly and professional!

My friend left keys in ignition and car running in parking lot for over 2 hours and no problems.
$787 per month electric and water included
There are four balconies on every floor from the second floor to the 7th. You cannot leave your own chairs out there and there are no chairs on the balconies already. There is no pool but we are less than 2 mi from the beach and if you want to swim there's a YMCA about a mile or so down the road. The people are friendly here so if you're looking for a place to live come and check it out.
I don't know Debbie Shifflett but her experience here is FAR different than my 3 years. I pay attention to the security staff and I will say it has greatly improved over the last 6 months while other things have gotten worse. And I can knock what I've experienced in my 3 years. Your opinion is not that of every resident, I PROMISE!
Westminster Canterbury Apartments is an over 62 senior living complex, has 7 floors and they have studio apartments with a full kitchen and bathroom, walk in shower. They also offer a one bedroom apartment with a full kitchen and bathroom. The utilities are included in the rent and the rent is more affordable than most other places are! There are two elevators.. The lobby has two rest rooms, lobby with locked mailboxes, and a large recreation room with a large screen TV. There are assorted soda, candy, and ice cream machines that you must insert the amount per item. They may make exceptions for you and it's worth a try to call them to view a model apartment . You also are assigned your own parking space if you drive. If you do not drive the bus stops out in front of the building. The bus station is two blocks away and bus passes are $22.50 per month, unlimited riding transportation. Cable included My sister lives there and she has plenty of information that I don't know about.
