LOUD!
It does have a louder roar than the other B&Ms in the park by a long shot, as they do not use sand to dampen the noise. However, it doesn't take away from the ride experience or even the experience of watching it. In fact, the roar is where it got it's name from (Kumba directly translates to roar in an African language)
There are parts where you can hear it. Especially the last sweeping left turn into the train house.
It was such a good ride with many loops and twists that I didn't pay attention to the roar.
