It's Florida. It's chocolate. You can refrigerate it now and eat it later, or you can let it sit out for now and drink it later. LOL Either way, there are no preservatives in the treats, so you should plan on eating it within a few days.
They leave it sitting out unrefrigerated all day so it doesn't make sense to me that you should need to refrigerate it. I wouldn't want it cold. As far as shelf life I don't know.
You need to refigerate to be safe. Sometimes the treat will absorb other flaors in there however.
I always refrigerate the chocolate. However, even at times when I'm out and I'm taking it someplace for a few days and don't need to.
