My mother has an appointment @ Duke this coming week at 3pm...which seems late...which will also be her first appointment. What will this late first time visit be like & would it be possible that we will have to stay overnight???(we live 5hours away)

I would call the dr she has the appt. with. Is she receiving a treatment that day? My brothers appointments for radiation lasted about 45 minutes (little longer the first time). If its for anything else who knows how long it will take. I would suggest planning to spend the night at a local hotel because 5 hours twice in one day is a long drive for anyone. God Bless!
