Wild animals are unadoptable and euthanized by animal control. A great alternative is to leave your crawl space open until the possum leaves and then close the door so it cannot re-enter.
Possums do NOT stay in one place they move around. Leave it be! Know the facts on wildlife!
Wake County Animal Control. They do take a few days though. A friend of mine said if you pay him 20 or 50 dollars he can get it.
