If the situation was related to your credit card you should have gone to customer service. However I feel alot like Maryanne Caruso in that most employees I find very helpful. Sometimes finding one at all might be the challenge. If you ever have any issues there I would say see management/customer service as they are typically very concerned.
Unfortunately I understand situation however for the most part I have found that the help there is satisfying perhaps In some cases Employees should be given more training and customer service but over all I would say it was good
