Is it correct to "suggest" 20% tip on the whole check? Went there on Friday 2/16 and their check figured tip on meal plus tax. Why are they suggesting tip on tax

That is a question only the management can answer. But only you can decide what you want to tip. I love this place so I tip accordingly.

Ok, all in know is the food and service were excellent, so I didn't care. So many place the wait staff take you for granted, they were great there

I appreciate having a printed amount to tip. But it should be figured on food and drinks, not the tax too. Why whould you tip 20% on taxes?

It is a common practice for some restaurants to perform the math calculations for the customer. Some have said they always do it for groups of over eight people, and state that on the menu.

Last time tip was included as a service charge.

We pay because we love to eat here my favourite place

Not sure "why" but a lot of places are doing the math for people and giving the percentages and the total, at the bottom, so people can just put in the numbers...hope this helps.
