I went there this weekend and the gentleman at the paying post said there was no fee if you parked outside the gate. Its 5 dollars to park in the lot. Even though there are no parking signs I think it also depends on how packed the parking lot is. While your vehicle might not get towed you could potentially get a parking ticket.
The no parking signs on the road are for after 6 pm. Also at least where we parked in the lot, there was no fee. Maybe we missed a pay station?
No parking signs are posted along the road outside of the paid parking, so, I imagine it's a possibility.
