Back in the seventies there was a park in the canyon owned by the oil company there. Really nice with picnic facilities and all. Is this the same park?

Yes, it has all that and it is on the oil company land enterance, but the Scout reservation has been there a lot longer than the seventies

Yes a same place and so easy to get to with a lot of activities for the kids. Great place
