Salt & Straw - All questions

Address: 838 NW 23rd Ave, Portland, OR 97210, USA

That's a good idea to speed things along for regular customers, but what makes Salt n Straw different from Baskin Robins is that near the end of the line a staff member will greet you, explain the menu, offer samples of the ice cream flavors and answer any questions as one would expect when purchasing high end gourmet ice cream.

If you order ahead, your ice cream would melt.

It's like the line at voodoo donuts

Yeah that's cool and all but since this location is famous for lines why not just use the iPad checkout to speed things up? Or unless they want that long line so they can draw people in

That’s weird. I’ve always been greeted, and I frequently go there. Honestly, I’m an introvert and would be okay if nobody greeted me. Minimal interaction 👍 It’s why I end up purchasing a pint and a waffle cone. You can skip the line, and you get more for your money.

Christopher, I’ve literally never had anyone greet me at the end of the line and I think I’ve been to every S&S in the PDX region multiple times.
