Do you think the building magically bought the property and built itself and maintains itself? Go to Briney for you .99 draft, doubt they even have craft there.
My guess is that given the location, the ambience, the newness, management feel that they can charge high prices for liquor. How long patrons will tolerate the prices remains to be seen.
Can you imagine what that property costs, what the rent is, what it could be sold for? A lot. They must charge higher prices than an inland spot or they won’t last. I’ll gladly pay $7 to casually sip my beer in the shade overlooking the ocean rather than $4.50 on East Atlantic Ave in Pompano.
How much do you think it cost to build that building?
Im sorry but its gouging...with tip its basically $10 and being a beer drinker its awful easy on a hot day to drink 1/2 the glass in one gulp.
I just can't understand why Pompano' s responses have been for a quattro price for a beer! I wouldn't dream of spending that for a beer and I am in ooh- la-la, Boca
It’s the drinks that are overpriced. The food is not out of line price wise. It’s just nothing special.
Scott Sauger you have bigger problems than the price of beer if you’re downing half a beef in one swig.
All the drinks are very expensive. I guess an ocean front restaurant needs to make the mortgage! The food isn't that overpriced, interestingly.
TOTAL RIPOFF !
Keep in mind Insurance and Taxes on the property you drank that beer is not cheap. They need to cover there expenses.
Alcohol is expensive to begin with, then consider the location is expensive to maintain then consider demand . For example if someone sells beer for 1.00 and people pay that price then why nit sell the beer for 3.00 , if people are still buying that beer fir 3.00 then why not raise the price again. When people stop paying for that beer, that’s when it’s too expensive. So whatever price it was , when people were willing to pay for that beer... is the standard price for that beer. .... you don’t have to buy that beer ... that is your choice
Same as Oceans 234 in Deerfield although the food is just as pricey
Go elsewhere....pompano needs places like this!. However food can be improved upon.
Everything is going up. You pay for being in a touristy spot on the beach. It is expensive but you're not drinking the $14+ cocktails
Specially brewed,
