Can I cross the Forest on a motorcycle from Springville through Ponderosa Jonsondale to Pearsonville? If so how long would it take ? I'm planning a trip there in a week.

I've done that ride many times probably 6-7 hours if you go from the Kern river up over Sherman Pass. However you should check with the US Forest Service first to see if both roads are open. This is about the time of the year it may snow up there too. Typically the barriers are up at Johnsondale for the winter and the mighty 190 is only maintained up from Springville to the Ponderosa , also they put up barriers on Sherman Pass at both ends. You may want to go down to Kernville before you go up Sherman Pass because that's the only gas up there the Ponderosa only has regular and many times there out. Be safe , have fun. Mike The Bike

Yes. Depends on how far you go.
