Its usually pretty good.
The bottom fishing is good year round. The fish do not migrate so they are here year round . You would b e fishing for Vermilion Red Snapper, Trigger Fish, Grouper, Silver Snapper, Grunts, Groupers, and Black Sea Bass. The 24 hr trip is very successful. You get to keep a two day limit on this trip.
The captain does a great job moving to spots where you have a high probability of catching fish. Drop your line to the bottom, reel up a few inches, then let the fun begin. August should be a good month.
We went out on Aug. 10th and caught some fish but the boat was crowded and there were alot of tangled lines.
First time I went Monday after labor day I caught 37 lb great fishing to me lots of red snapper and silver snapper big fish

It's good when we go. They've done it for so long they know where the fish are. Have never gone out and not caught fish. Great crew.
