I have understood that the max limit is 50 pounds per suitcase, What about if the suitcase bypasses the limit? Does the individual have to pay an extra fee? Or, Can they actually bring another suitcase? Thank youu

Linda Eger, No, this is not a test. Someone in my family is traveling to Mexico, but their suitcase bypasses the weight limit. I hava also seen people traveling with more than one suitcase, but I don’t know if they’re paying for that extra suitcase or if it’s actually allowed. That’s what I was wondering.

Most international airlines allow two checked-in suitcases each maxed at 50 pounds (confirm with your airline). If you go over the max (two suitcases, each at 50 pounds), yes, you'd need go pay a hefty fee. Not worth the fee. Check your airline baggage rules.
