Nope! I just did this for Dear Evan Hansen. The crazy (like $30) service/convenience fee they charge for online tickets is waived if you visit the box office in person.
No, the price paid at the CAPA ticket office on State Street is just the actual cost of the ticket. Parking can be a problem but one can usually find a metered space on Third Street, across from the statehouse.
You may have to go to the CAPA office on State Street to buy advance tickets. The theatre box office isn't open all the time. You WILL avoid most if not all of the service fees.
