I have a viper alarm in my F250 with an automatic start remote... Is it true that there is a truck key somewhere under the dash board or somewhere in the motor?

That's the problem.. the only key that I had, broke off my key chain somewhere.. it is an 08.. Ford wants me to tow the truck to them, (which will be $125. )Then pay $150. For a new key.. so was just hoping that by some slim chance, the previous owner was right, and there is a spare key somewhere in that truck.. But when I asked the guy at Ford behind the desk.. he said, "absolutely not".. and acted like I was speaking another language..

I think It depends on the year of the truck

It depends on what year your truck is. If you bring it by on of our locations, we can let you know definitely. The KIAB (key in a box) method is pretty outdated now, but may exist on some older vehicles.
