Rental assistance is a resource that is hard to find since COVID. I would suggest that you call 211 if your in Louisiana. 211 can give you some resources specific to the area and parish that you live in. That information maybe a little harder to get if your in a rural area.
I work in the immigration Department yes if you are a refugee or an asylee we do help with rental assistance. You can also contact the main office for further information
