Hey so I have a large comic book collection that I jus inherited from my father and their is a lot of old mixed with new . It's a lil overwhelming . Anyway how can I go about getting someone to look at them to determine their value???

Most comic book stores do not buy old comics unless they know you really well or the comics are from the 1960's. In the 70s, 80s, and 90s the market was flooded with comics. So those comic issues are worth more as firestarters than collectibles. However if you have 1st appearances of characters in those comics they might be worth 5, 10, or 50 dollars. It depends on the character, how many of the comic was printed, and how well it looks. I hope this has helped answer your question.
