How long does it take to walk around the whole place? Are you allowed to walk around freely on the public open days or do you have to stay in a group with a guide of some sort?

You can walk freely, they have learning classes at set times. We were there over an hour, depending on how you stop and look at plants and admire the place is the time you could be there. There are 3 different sections to walk.

You go through by yourself so your own pace. We took an hour. They do have tours at certain times
