I was worried abt this as well because I live in a non-compliant state. However, they have granted non-compliant states an extension to become compliant and our current state issued IDs and drivers licenses are being accepted. The current round of extensions expires October 10, 2018.
Real ID is a new identification protocol. I'm just wondering at what point they will stop allowing me to use my old North Carolina driver's license.
I just flew American airlines and I had to have an picture I.D. just go get one. It's like 8 bucks
Define ,what is not a real Id? You can not get through any aiport security any where without a Picture Id they do accept a gun permit ,passport ,drivers licence, and voter Id. Check the tsa web site.
No they ll nt allow u to board if checked by chance
You will have to have a government-issued ID in order to get through the TSA screening
