There are a number of ways that the airlines can get you through security, but all of them are a major hassle for the gate agents. It helps to have status with the airline in question, and to go through during times of the day when they are not busy. Ve patient with the gate agents, and understand their perspective, be polite. It is also a good idea to phone the local airport office of the airline ahead of time *not* the reservation or helpdesk -- those can only give you the party line.
You can accompany her inside up to the security/departure area! Or... If you want to see her off at her gate, airlines allow for "companions" to acquire what's called a "gate pass," which allows you to walk your traveling loved ones all the way to the final gate. To get one, just speak with the airline rep at the ticket desk, and try to have the actual ticket-holders with you at the time. You'll need to present a valid reason for wanting to be there, but valid reasons can include anxiety problems, wife or husband is flying, parent of a child that's traveling as an unaccompanied minor, and people seeing off their elderly parents, since it's reasonable to see that they'd need help. You'll want to speak to the airline's ticket desk earlier than just an hour before the flight, just in case a manager has to handle the request. Also have proper forms of identification with you (like photo ID such as driver's license or passport).
