Lets say hypothetically I found a fossil tooth in the ocean (yes I ran the tests, it’s a fossil.) would taking it to this museum and testing it be able to tell me it’s origins? Please lmk.

I say take it, at the very least you will speak with some very enthusiastic and helpful folks, maybe even learn a thing or two.

What a lovely question, I think this is possible. Those student volunteers are geology students who have access to various fossily knowledges (and their professors that process fossils). I don't know what kind of tests you want completed but they could at the very least redirect you to someone!

Maybe but the place really isn't staffed it's done by a student volunteer. But if you were to go there and ask they might be able to tell you more.
