The majority of the Cival War dead are Union soldiers who died in nearby hospitals, mostly killed or wounded at the Battle of Port Royal. They are mostly grouped by state. I think there are maybe 100 Confederate dead sprinkled here and there. Union and Confederate headstones are similar, but different. Both have a shield, different from each other. CSA headstones do not list states. Union list state and occasionally extra information.
