Why would you want to order French Toast in a café that serves authentic French patisserie classics like delicious croissants, beignets, pain au chocolat, brioches, to-die-for pain aux amandes (marzipan-filled almond patisserie / my personal favorite), and so much more, all fresh baked on site ("sur place")? When in Rome do like the Romans, or in this case, the French. Just my personal opinion as a customer who fell in love with this French island in Charleston. -- I believe they also serve the American classic "French Toast" (which, in contrast to its name, is virtually unknown in France), probably all through their opening hours (listed on Google Maps), but that to confirm I leave to the charming owners.
French Toast is exactly what it is supposed to be: French. Cafe Framboise makes and serves authentic French Toast. I've made it all my life, but In the Southern way. The Cafe's is a great diversion from a Southern receipe.
