This was our first stop in Charleston as we had heard great reviews. Immediately noticed the cute indoor decor and awesome logo. Even though we had a reservation, it took a bit of time to be seated. For apps, we had the beets, corn, and falafel. I really like beets but I didn't enjoy the way these were presented- way too crunchy and more of a baby carrot consistency. The falafel is a must order! The schnitzel and kebabs came in huge portions and were tasty.

great food but overpriced for what you get.

This restaurant came so highly rated but was a big disappointment. We went here for my wife's birthday on a Wednesday night. They weren't very crowded but our waitress seemed frazzled. The service was good but a little slow. I will say they were extremely accommodating with regard to our son having an anaphylactic dairy allergy but we were so disappointed with the food. My wife is a vegetarian and enjoyed the appetizers but was very disappointed there were only 2 options for a main course. She wound up ordering a $21 salad that wasn't worth $10. She asked for vegetarian and was served chicken. When they returned with a new salad it was completely inedible. It was soggy and the only flavor you could taste was sesame oil. Two of us ordered the "petite tender steak". They came extremely rare and so over salted that it wasn't even enjoyable. Appetizers and drinks were delicious! Call me crazy but I expected way more from a James Beard nonminee!!!

When people ask me the best meal I've ever had, I think of a banh mi I had here on vacation, 7 years ago. Since then I've been to Osteria Francescana.. to restaurants all over the world, from Italy to Japan & Michelin stars in my hometown, London. But this is the sandwich I always think about.

There were dogs on the patio last time I went
Thank you for reaching out. Our tables are 8 ft apart outside and 6 ft apart inside the restaurant. We do temperature checks for those who dine indoors and also for our staff. Masks are required for our staff at all times and for guests while not at their table. We sanitize surfaces every hour as well.
You might feel uncomfortable in shredded jeans or a foul t-shirt, but in general, casual is totally fine
The parking lot will have a significant amount of cars in it. There is also some street parking. I would try to get there a little before the lunch crowd really starts coming in
