Why are items that are not in stock in the store listed online as available? To make things worse, the phone doesn't get answered when, before driving 15 miles, I call to inquire if an item is available in-store. This is a lousy way to do business!

Supply delays

More than likely they depend soley on their point of sale devices to determine inventory shortages and not periodic visual cycle counts. Folks grab 10 chunky soups of different types, yet when at the checkout kiosk scan a single can 10 times, thus decrementing inventory for rhat specific type of chunky soup only. Their fault...they should be doing both pos and cycle counting...but are probably short on staff

They probably have the product on one of the many pallets in the isles, with not enough staff to put on the shelves.
