Is it necessary to pay for the beach amenities at $28 a day? To my understanding its combined inside the cost of the room. However what if i don't need the beach amenities?

Yes they will charge you. This includes transportation to the beach and the amenities. My suggestion would be to go for it. The convenience us worth the amount.
