Yes, go to a post office and pay the fee, I believe its $45. And they will put a work order in for their locksmith to come replace it, and once your key comes in, they will notify you. Until then, you should be able to keep your mail on hold at your local post office.
Call a locksmith if you are living in your own house or if you are living in a lease apartment then you have to report this to the leasing office. And if your mailbox is located in usps location itself than follow roberts answer. Thanks.
The post office will have to replace it if it's in the post office. If its located in a mailbox nest outside of the post office you would likely call a Locksmith.
