If you order online, taxes are based on your location when ordering, not the location of the store.
They were offering free delivery of appliances $399 and up. Anywhere that has a brick and mortar store in your state will charge you tax on your online purchases. If you visit any store in person you will pay taxes for the location that you are at when you the purchase is made.
