You probably got a leak in the coolant system.
Go to utube there is a lot of information about Variety of reasons
Not enough coolant ... If you have a leak in the system you should see steam coming from the problem area. If that's the case you will need to correct the problem.
No leaks already had it checked for that i am thinking the stat is stuck
