I have seen dogs at the beach although I'm not sure if they are allowed. Also I promised the beaches not a myth it is just off of 301 in between the park office and the Taconic.
No, dogs are not allowed on the beach or picnic areas. Dogs are only allowed on designated camp areas and on trails, must be on a leash and cleaned up after.
I wasn't able to find the way there. Maybe the beach is a myth .
