Is grilling allowed on the park’s grill during the week (Thursday)? How has the water been? Looking to go with two toddlers and read mixed reviews on water quality. Thanks in advance!

Yes, people were grilling on Sunday but you might want to get there as soon as it opens or not to long after, this weekend they closed after a few hours and were no longer letting people in

I was there on a Thursday and there were people grilling. The water was very comfortable. Not too cold and very easy to get into. Its lake water so there was some seaweed like material floating around but nothing too bad. The lake floor farther to the right can be a little more squishy rather than the sandy floor more to the middle and left side.

I am not entirely sure about the grilling but I feel like there are definitely picnic benches available. As for the water... It's typical lake water with a bunch of little fish, some rocks in the sand, and edge of the shore vines and vegetation. My 6-year-old and 3-year-old love both the water and the beach here. I think it's a great small place for young ones!
