In detox someone can leave AMA (Against Medical Advice), I don't believe they get sent to Providence if they have been sectioned by someone, I thought if sectioned the person was sent to a place in Worcester, but again I am not positive about the details of being sectioned.....
If you really want them to get help and not be able to leave go to court and ask for a section, it's 21 days in a locked facility

What floor..detox or psych ward?detox.....yes and no..if they checked in on there own.yes.if they were sectioned and brought from a hospital its different...
